What we do
Life insurance, done properly.
Unleash agents help families protect their income and, where it fits, build tax-advantaged cash value through indexed universal life. We're independent: multiple carriers, no quota to push one product.
Term life
Pure protection for a fixed period, usually 10 to 30 years. The most coverage per dollar. No cash value.
Built for
Young families, new homeowners, anyone with a mortgage and people who depend on them.
Indexed universal life
Permanent coverage with cash value credited based on the movement of a market index, with a floor (often 0%) and a cap. Cash value is accessible through policy loans, which reduce the death benefit. Our specialty.
Built for
Clients who've maxed out other tax-advantaged options, business owners, parents planning for college or retirement.
Whole life
Permanent coverage with a guaranteed death benefit, guaranteed cash value growth, and fixed premiums. Guarantees are backed by the issuing insurer.
Built for
Clients who want guarantees above all else and plan to hold the policy for life.
Mortgage protection
Term coverage sized to the mortgage, so the house stays with the family if a breadwinner passes.
Built for
New homeowners. Usually the first conversation a new agent learns to have.
Final expense
Small whole life policies, simplified underwriting, fast approval.
Built for
Seniors who want to cover funeral costs and leave nothing on the kids.
Annuities
Fixed and fixed-indexed annuities.
Built for
Pre-retirees looking for guaranteed income. Coming as we add carrier contracts.
Our specialty
IUL, explained like an adult.
Indexed universal life is the most misunderstood product in the industry, by clients and by agents. We train every Unleash agent to explain it accurately, including the parts that aren't a sales pitch.
Hypothetical illustration of the crediting mechanic only. Index values are invented. No actual product, charges, or fees are reflected; caps and floors vary by carrier and can change.
- Floor
- Most IUL products credit 0% in a down year rather than losing cash value to the market. Charges still apply.
- Cap or participation rate
- Gains are limited by a cap or a participation rate set by the carrier, which the carrier can change. The trade for the floor.
- Policy loans
- Cash value can be accessed through loans, which under current tax law are generally not taxed as income if the policy stays in force and isn't a modified endowment contract. Loans reduce the death benefit and can lapse the policy.
- Flexible premiums
- Within limits, clients can adjust what they pay. Overfunding builds cash value faster; underfunding can lapse the policy.
- It's insurance first
- The death benefit is the product. The cash value is a feature. An agent who sells it as a stock-market alternative is doing it wrong.
How it works
Independent, by design.
Multiple carriers
Our agents are appointed with several carriers, so a client gets the product that fits, not the one on the quota board. As we grow into a brokerage, that list gets longer and the contracts get better.
Needs first
Every conversation starts with what the family actually needs: income replacement, debt, education, legacy. Product comes after. We'd rather write a $40/month term policy that's right than an IUL that isn't.
Full disclosure
Illustrations show guaranteed and non-guaranteed columns. Clients see the charges. Agents are trained to walk through both, because a policy that lapses in year three helps nobody.
Not an agent?
Need coverage yourself?
We write business too. A licensed Unleash agent will walk you through options from multiple carriers with no pressure and no fee for the conversation.
